If you have no knowledge of 3dsmax then this tutorial is not for you. But if you have a grasp of how to do basic modeling techniques like extruding, snapping, cutting and such then you should be able to handle it. It is meant to show you a good way to go about modeling a 3d character. I should have probably done this tutorial a while back but now i'm finally getting around to it. If you wish to give it a try then please go ahead. www.3dtotal.com/ffa/tutorials/max/joanofarc/joanmenu.aspI am not even half way through the tutorial since it is so massive but here is what i have so far. I'm no pro so its not the best. Good luck to anyone attempting it.

How did you find this tutorial? You DO know that that website is our rival, right? just kidding, no feel free to refer to any other websites, it's fine! Um.....she's blue. ......Which reminds me, I saw Wicked last week, and it was AMAZING!!! It was at the Hippodrome, and the performance was absolutely insane! (The main character is a good witch, and she's green.) Yeah.

Basically everyone that knows about 3dsmax knows about that tutorial. Unless you are teaching it to yourself, and don't have internet. Its by far the most used 3dsmax tutorial.

We're open to any information, even if it seems like an obvious well known tutorial.
Apparently Eric didn't know about it, and has benifited. So it wasn't a completely useless post, no?
Also, Colin has shown us some of his work with it. Good work so far man! Keep it up!

It's like the best known tutorial ever. It works jsut as well in blender as long as you understand blender enough to know to sue subsurf instead of subdivide. Looking good, like the leg armour. The chest armour is a pregnant dog to do thoguh

Um....well, it IS an improvement, but she needs a shirt to cover the breasts. Yep I said it. Oh, and the crouch area needs a leaf or something! ;-)

You should be pushing your limits in 3ds max, Colin. You know what that guy on maxforums told me, right? About the rage over babel image I did in Blender? He said something like, oh, well you should really be pushing it further. He knew that Blender wasn't exactly 3ds max, but he also knew that it has much more potential than what I took it to. Do that with this man. I mean, I know you have little time to spare, but whatever time you are given, use that and milk it for what it's worth. All that I have to say!

I do believe that othello actually purchased 3ds max with his own money.
